It was here that the Michigan Central railroad tracks passed in front of these houses, between them and the road, preventing access from the houses to the street; so Park La. paralleled Park St., on the north side of the tracks, so that people could access their homes. Park Lane started on the west side of Crysler Ave., just north of the railroad tracks, which themselves were on the north side of Park Rd., and went west to where this house stood, just east of St. Lawrence Ave.
The railroad tracks ran along Park St. (seen in photo below) between where the red fire hydrant is seen, and the tree behind it!! Park Lane was located behind the tree, in front of the houses; in fact it was right beside the houses, so close that passing vehicles sometimes scratched the front of the houses driving down this narrow access route.

This post documents the demise of another downtown Niagara Falls, Ont. building, which, like many other buildings seen in the historical photographs of my Then and Now series of posts, has now been lost to all but fleeting photographs and memories.
