I stopped my walk just before the part above River Road, so next time I shall go to the other side of the Road. Since that is still over Canadian soil, it should be ok. Hopefully I can see the rapids from there. It's impossible to get a view of them, other than from the Whirlpool Bridge, which of course is totally off limits. I wish the Parks Commission would build a little overlook, so that one of the wildest rapids in the world can be seen without paying to go down the White Water Walk.
Thanks again, really enjoyed reading your site . I believe you might still walk along the ROW to just about the part above River Rd, but not much further than that; probably not to the razor wall itself. You would be pushing it to ignore the warning signs now.R.Bobakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00295185763197975948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692488549699658893.post-68405692374681502962020-08-03T21:08:46.188-04:002020-08-03T21:08:46.188-04:00"in fact today one can still walk along the a..."in fact today one can still walk along the abandoned right-of-way from where the station once stood, over these rusting bridges, and right up to the border security barrier at the abandoned bridge over the Niagara River, within several minutes." Is it still legal to walk on the rail bridge over the Niagara River up to the security barrier? I was there today (August 2020) but hesitated to set foot on it, knowing there are security cameras and razor wire. I would like to go to the centre to see if I can get an unusual shot of the rapids from there. Your thoughts?
Sharon Riley
Niagara Falls, ON
Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378726309295429655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692488549699658893.post-78910465972952005062009-05-17T16:34:00.000-04:002009-05-17T16:34:00.000-04:00Just for the record - before it was Rosberg's it w...Just for the record - before it was Rosberg's it was the Armstrong Hotel.
